FOOD AS ART makes food the subject of the picture, not garnish or backdrop. Drawing on Daniel Spoerri’s Eat Art, baroque still life, and the food sculptures of Erwin Wurm, Laila Gohar, and Sarah Illenberger, it treats food as material worth exhibiting, not just eating.
A baguette becomes a can holder, rhubarb stalks lash into a tripod, grapes hang from an ear like jewelry. Food moves onto the body: strawberries as a garter, cherry tomatoes as a pendant, olives as rings, a fork twisted into a hairstyle. The humor is played straight, and nobody in frame seems to notice. None of it is new (butchers once carved blood sausage into swans), it just finds a hungrier audience now.
Food, fashion, sculpture, and design meet on one plate, which is why the idea translates easily to a tech product, a beauty campaign, an agency activation, or a hotel launch.
